FAQs
What’s the dress code?
We’d love for everyone at our wedding to wear what makes you feel your best.
3 piece suit? All black everything? Fairy wings? It’s all good.
If you’re anxious (like the bride) and looking for a little guidance, think ‘spring date night’. Or if you’re more comfortable casual, flannel shirts would be on-brand for our camping-vibes wedding. The ceremony and reception is being held in our backyard so skipping stilettos is probably in your best interest, but I’m not your mother.
Weather is changeable in TN in May, so please be aware of the forecast.
Where’s this thing happening?
We’re going to be celebrating our wedding in the backyard of our home in TN. Our puppers will be in attendance and off-leash. Please be sure when leaving and entering the yard that they don’t go on walkabout. Please do not feed them human food, no matter how politely they ask.
Can we crash over?
Though we’re usually all about hosting folks overnight, all Merch HQ beds are spoken for. If you’re coming in from out of town, there are several reasonably priced 2- and 3-star hotels nearby.
We’re also happy to try to connect folks coming in from out of town to share AirBnB or VRBO properties.
Do you have a registry?
We’re a well-established couple -with more than enough stuff- so we have not registered for physical gifts anywhere. If you’d like to gift us with your time, energy, and talents, there’s a lot of space for that in our DIY wedding. Most needed would be set-up and clean up help in the days before and after our celebration (No particular skills necessary!), but help from our amateur baker, party planner, ‘budding’ floral designer (see what we did there?), or otherwise talented friends would be an appreciated contribution to our day.
But if you’d like to celebrate us with a gift, we’d be grateful for a contribution to our Iceland honeymoon fund.
